Ceramics: Mark Making

Monday was our first day in the ceramics elective. We started off with mark making using bamboo brushes and ink. I really enjoyed this process because you could let the brush guide you to create the shapes. Here is my four favourite pages.

I really liked the designs in the boxes on the last page so I decided to play around with them some more using a bigger piece of card which I cut into a comb. I really liked the designs so I have decided to use them as inspiration for the form of my vessel.
